Flight Standards The Flight Standards Service makes and enforces rules regarding airman and aircraft certification. Search the FAA database at FedWorld. Here are the Inspector Handbooks. and bulletins
FARs (The Official Site) This site contains the official version of the Federal Aviation Regulations; but they are presented as huge, unindexed ASCII files.
FARs (at Landings) This site is unofficial and can be several months behind the official site, but is indexed in HTML format.
FAR Part 61 Changes at AOPA and AvWeb (registration required) These sites contain the significant changes that occurred in FAR Part 61 on 4 Aug 97. AvWeb includes provisions for questions and comments. Here's the DPE Part 61 FAQ and the FE PTS.
